MassRecycle 16th Annual Recycling Awards and Fundraiser
Tuesday, November 15th, 6pm-9pm
National Heritage Museum, Lexington

The MassRecycle’s Green Binnie Award Ceremony and Fundraiser is statewide, unique event that recognizes deserving individuals and recycling programs that have gone above and beyond to increase recycling, re-use and waste reduction in Massachusetts. Join MassRecycle for an enjoyable gala with food, entertainment, a silent auction, and a wine tasting on November 15th, America Recycles Day, at the Museum of Our National Heritage in Lexington to celebrate their contributions.

The 4th R (Recovery of Energy): Covanta Haverhill Waste-to-Energy Facility
Date: Thursday, October 20, 10:00 - 11:30
Type of Facility: Energy from Waste
Location: 100 Recovery Way, Haverhill, MA
Pre-registration required Covanta Haverhill's waste-to-energy facility processeses non-recyclable waste from 23 communities in northeast Massachusetts and New Hampshire into clean, renewable energy using the Martin combustion technology. In addition to processing residential trash, the facility also participates in many unique programs including the DEA's Drug Take Back events, the Fishing for Energy partnership, the installation of wind power on its site, the total destruction of invasive species, Litter to Light clean-up programs, etc. Recently, Covanta Haverhill has also begun working with the City of Haverhill to improve the City's recycling rate. The facility produces 46 MWs of power - enough power for 40,000 homes.  Click here to RSVP.
